With Asphalt Paving you really need to be careful as the homeowner or project manager. With the rise of oil and fuel material costs, we have seen that companies are shaving material to keep their prices down. This is a damaging thing to be done to our profession, and only effects you – the project manager or homeowner. What is happening is that you will get a contract that states a 3” layer of asphalt will be placed on top of 30 ton of a class II base product, but the result will be a lot less, resulting in a project that will not last you very long. It is a common practice among small companies that do not take pride in there work. Be aggressive in who you chose for you project.
Example:

• 5000 Sq/Ft Project at a 2.5" compacted Depth
• 80 ton of asphalt needed/required
• If company actually placed at 1.5" would be 48 Ton
• 32 ton of asphalt not used that should have been
• $1920 price difference that should have been used in material for your driveway or parking lot’s strength

Concrete Installation

Rochester Asphalt Inc has a very qualified concrete workforce, we grade and base your area, place rebar as needed and quoted per contract. We spend our time making sure your project is of the highest quality. Seal Coating and Crack Repair

With crack repair and seal coating there are many important steps to ensure the quality of the project, first you need to clean the cracks by grazing and blowing them clean, you need to then place the hot rubber crack sealant.

We then clean the entire driveway or parking lot to clear any debris there may be so the seal coat will adhere and soak into the current asphalt.

Infrared Patching

This service is excellent for repairing small pot holes, depressions, and damaged areas. This equipment heats the asphalt back to a working temperature, we then add additional new asphalt material and then compact. This process does not take long and can be driven on in approximately 20 min. It is also a very cost effective way to repair small areas in your asphalt.
